At the age of nine, my life changed forever. Following my parents’ divorce, my mother made a bold and selfless decision—leaving the British West Indies to carve out a new beginning for our family in Canada. She did so alone, with fierce determination and a vision for something greater. Her courage and sacrifice didn’t just move us across continents—it elevated our possibilities.
While she laid the foundation abroad, my father held the fort at home. But it was my grandfather—wise, steady, and quietly powerful—who became my compass. He didn’t just raise me with discipline; he raised me with a standard.
When I questioned my ability or fairness in the world, he would say:
“Circumstances don’t matter. If others are smarter, more talented, or more experienced, you can still win. Work harder. Study deeper. Go further. Lead by example.”
That mindset shaped everything—from how I lead teams, build partnerships, and design platforms, to how I show up when no one is watching.
My story is rooted in resilience.
My mission is to build that same legacy of leadership for others.
